for the people left behind, suicide by shotgun blast is a brutal, violent act
but for the person who dies it is as close to the simple flipping of a switch from life to death as is possible
the shotgun blast destroys the brain faster than any sensury signals from the body can reach it
for the person who dies, all they experience is the intention to pull the trigger
that's it
the sound and light of the blast, the flesh and bone exploding out of their head, the brain matter and blood splattering on the wall behind them, the violence of the act, they will never experience any of it
i think it's important to think about these things when evaluating kurt cobain's choice to end his life in the way that he did
