I've been here since 2006. All of those have genuine fanbases. BotW in particular is a Nintendo game, and P5 is so popular and revolutionary that E33's combat literally looks identical to it.

Meanwhile, I just found out that Lune, who is BY FAR the most popular E33 character, barely has more than 1 page worth of fanart in the boorus. It's just not naturally for the highest rated and most liked video game of all time to have zero fanart.

Well, the fanbase is by far the worst part of any video game. Some video games more than others. Just look at this thread, for example. The Final Fantasy "fanbase" might be worse than the Persona/Metaphor or E33 fanbases, and I know that E33 fans have really made a name for themselves in the very short amount of time that they've been around.

The important thing is to not lose sight and forget that games and their fanbases are actually completely separate entities. You can make fun of a game's fanbase while still liking the game. There is at least one lolcow here who pretends to be multiple people, for example. That's pretty fucking nutty. The E33 fanbase can't stop sucking their own dicks while claiming that anyone who isn't also sucking their own dick simply isn't smart enough to be able to. I'm less well versed in the Persona fanbase, admittedly, but honestly they seemed pretty alright back when P4G first launched on PC and I was in those threads back then, though when I checked them out around the time P5R came to PC, they seemed to have earned a resident schizo by then.
