Pricing the PS6 that high will simply destroy the market for it. Like when the PS3 launched at $499/$599 or when the 3DS launched at $250. It's not a good business decision. Sony also isn't going to take huge losses on the PS6, so the PS6 is going to be a weak console.

But you may ask, what will happen to the PS5/PS5 Pro? That's a good question. I think Sony will just discontinue them.

If the rumors about a PS6/PS6 Portable are true, there won't be a market for the PS5/PS5 Pro anymore. Sony can't seem to bring down the price of the PS5 consoles, so it'll just stop making and selling them. The lower price Playstation option in 2027 will be the handheld PS6 or a potential PS6 "S" console.
