Do you prefer TTC or Citadel paints? In the past I've noticed metallics don't always mix well with other metallics (I was probably using older Citadel formula paints at that time). Your recipe calls for mixing metallics. Does either TTC/Citadel have better mixing qualities (or other factors you prefer)?

I'll try to remember to write up a simple guide next time I'm painting gold. The gist of it is
>retributor armor/TTC dragon's gold basecoat
>wash with a 1:1 mix of gore-grunta fur and magos purple(or reikland and druchii violet, contrasts give a nicer color though), do 2 passes for deeper shadows
>layer up towards the parts that would reflect light with liberator gold/ttc glistening gold and canoptek alloy/ttc platinum crown
>edge highlight upwards facing edges with canoptek alloy/ttc platinum crown

Appreciated anon. Hmmm did you relayer with retributor(or dragon's gold, whichever you're using) first? I could be wrong obviously but it looks to me like you went straight to the highlight color. Here's how I do it, hopefully it helps
