I would normally agree with you for the most part, including the Analogue Pocket that I think is a waste of money. However, I feel like the appeal for the N64 specifically is that it has a lot of dumb accessories that are too expensive these days, and it'd be better to have them baked into the console and controllers themselves. Sure you could probably get an N64 with cables and a controller for like $100, but an Expansion Pak alone is like $50 on eBay and is required if you want to play ROMhacks. Factor in a Rumble Pak, memory card, an extra controller, and it'd probably be around the same price as the Analogue 3D.
On top of that, it has a controller that is also very unique with the 6 buttons, and a stick that on top of being a fragile piece of shit, has a unique gate and bowl that hasn't been replicated in aftermarket controllers. I made my peace with things like the 8bitdo modkit and controller, but I'd jump ship to the M64 if they actually are autistic enough to clone the joystick. Finally, I'm not spending hundreds of dollars on a scaler to play it on a modern TV. All I am buying is a console and maybe a new controller.
