Just wanted to ask other anons if they’ve had a similar experience lately in this brave new world we are living in.

So I’m a sales guy specifically cars. I switched to this from a different career and was a natural from day one. Always the top seller everywhere I went. So I went to a big corp. my manager was a lady who I had a good working relationship with. After a couple years of consistent top selling I find out she’s trying to get me fired by higher ups. It sours our relationship but basically I do nothing and within 6 months I get fired.

Ff it’s three years later and I’m working at a mom and pop dealership. Top of the sales board every month. I was offered a management position but declined preferring to sell as it would make more money. There was this 80iq woman who was the receptionist and got promoted to event sales manager. She sold exactly 0 events in a year and a half and somehow got promoted to sales manager. My boss. Within a week I am written up for dubious reasons. I sell three cars over the weekend and the other two guys that were working sold one between them. New manager “it’s a little unfair that you got three sales and they only got one”

Like wtf. She obviously has a hate on for me because she’s written me up for things done months before she was manager. Also it’s an incentive based SALES job - fair has nothing to do with it. I didn’t snake these other guys or steal their customers, I just have better skill than them. I know I’ll be getting fired soon. What is it with women first of all, being shoe horned into positions they aren’t qualified for, and second as soon as they have a tiny amount of power they will go after someone who performs? Like is t her new job to do more sales? Why would you gun for your strongest sales person?
