I would persist, a beat down, sexual assault or anything of the kind would not stop me from aborting the route and only encourage me to go further. I am interested to see what changes and what the result of my actions would be. It is why I have a pacifist save as well, not because I actually care about not hurting darkners or lightners but because it provides content that I would not be able to see on the weird route.
