The tyranids appeared at the beginning of 10th, they had a poll who will win some battle (and get their models revealed first) and iirc tyranids won but I don't think anything came out of that.
Then nothing happened for an entire edition and now Titus is fighting crons or something but you're saying that's a prequel?
