If you really want people to rely on and more heavily engage with the A.I. assistants, they need to allow for adult content, with minimal restrictions, and you need to make an interface that looks like a waifu trapped inside of your computer or phone screen. the waifu would also need to be fully customizable, with many choices for its voice and communication style.
