Denji is, without a doubt, the most pathetic, brain-rotted, bottom-feeding goblin to ever be a shonen MC. This dude operates on half a brain cell, and it’s malfunctioning. A walking biological hazard, an absolute retard whose only guiding principles in life are tits, grub, and violence—in that order. The worst part? He’s too stupid to even be a real villain. At least villains have a vision, a goal. This clown is just out here chainsawing through the only family he had, letting literally anyone with half a manipulative bone in their body puppet him like a flesh-and-blood marionette.
Denji isn’t misunderstood. He isn’t tragic. He’s a liability. A human wrecking ball with the depth of a puddle and the morals of a rabid sewer rat. Oh wow, he had a sad childhood? Tough shit retard. Plenty of people have tragic pasts, but they don’t turn into reckless killing machines who let their dick dictate their decision-making like a brain-dead neanderthal. His whole life philosophy is “If I kill enough things, maybe Yoru-sama will touch me.” Embarrassing. He has no self-respect, no dignity, no spine. The dude gets treated like a literal dog, and instead of rebelling, he just leans into it like the world’s biggest bootlicker. Makima turned his brain into mush, and he still barely learned anything. Yoru waltzed in and played him like a cheap kazoo, and he’s still too retarded to realize it. This man is not a survivor—he’s a parasite that keeps finding new hosts to leech off.
He reeks of sweat, blood, and desperation, probably sleeps in his own filth, and has the social skills of a feral raccoon. Denji isn’t a hero. He’s not even an antihero. He’s just a dumpster fire VILLAIN of a human being, a hazard to himself and everyone around him, and when he finally meets his gruesome, inevitable end, it’ll be nothing but poetic justice.
