Chainsaw Man doesn't have Fujoshi appeal like Jujutsu Kaisen, and I'm fairly certain Japan has lost some interest in CSM after the failed first season. I expect big numbers from the West, especially the US, but nothing more than 50M at most from Japan, and that's me being extremely generous. Even the latest MHA movie "only" made 23M in Japan and 5M in the US, and MHA sells more manga copies in Japan than CSM. I think it's more realistic to compare the CSM movie to MHA rather than to JJK or Demon Slayer.

I think overall CSM will gross 40M internationally and around 40M domestically, so a total of 80M. That should be good enough for Mappa.
