Daily reminder about writing methods and plot devices:

Memory erasure is only useful as an author's tool so the character can remember the memory at a decisive moment. For Yoru that moment was the alleyway - she remembered fragments of the kiss and that turned her into a slut. For Asa that moment is now - the sword to the head will make her remember the entire ordeal with Nayuta, which she watched from 3rd person while Yoru was doggyfied.

Asa will remember the conversations Nayuta and Denji had while Yoru was barking, and that will make her realize Denji sacrificed Nayuta for sex.

I like it. It creates more tension, stakes and emotions from the readers. I will enjoy these 2 weeks. For the record, Shitru is 100% a vegetable in my book, and I know for a fact Asa will make it. You're free to fear for their life though. I too like stakes a lot, even when I know they'll be subverted via cheap fake-outs.
