The most straightforward way I could see things happening is Death offering Denji to save Asa and Yoru, due to the wound they received or some other circumstance they fuse into one.
It could also be that Death offers to revive Asa OR Yoru, which is the choice that Fire (Death's pawn) talked about, Denji chooses both which causes the fusion.

This fusion would be Yogurt or the "Third Hawk" aluded by Asa's name. Yogurt appearing so soon is a bad sign though, it could be that she is giga-evil and is the KoT, meaning that Denji would have to fix this decision by sawing Asa's head in half again.

I think the triangle between Yoru-Denji-Asa sends an important message about relationships. Denji was always open to Asa, but she was uptight and prideful, and didn't want to close the distance. Meanwhile, Yoru grew increasingly close to Denji once they made a connection. Now Asa is depressed and ready to become a martyr just so Denji will pay attention to her, while Yoru is happy and the person that Denji has the most chemistry with.

It's a message about how important it is to take a chance to be happy when you see it, otherwise you will end up alone and bitter having to watch a bad person win the affections of someone you took for granted.

Memory erasure is only useful as an author's tool so the character can remember the memory at a decisive moment. For Yoru that moment was the alleyway - she remembered fragments of the kiss and that turned her into a slut. I have somre problems with this idea. Namely, Yoru's control over Asa's body is too great, last chapter we saw how powerless Asa was to stop Yoru from weaponizing Denji, she held back with all she could and Yoru just pushed her aside mid sentece.

Secontly is that, while Asa is prudish and has difficulty approaching people, the situations where Yoru advanced Denji were just...wrong. Going to fuck in a dirty alley while Denji's sister-daughter is missing is bizarre. Making out in a lush hellscape created by an eldritch abomination (that was watching) immediately on arrival is weird. Barging in the home of a random innocent person, killing him, stealing his food and his house is just evil. None of these situations were really appropriate for Asa to make her moves.

Lastly, can we really say that Asa takes Denji for granted when she jumps to save him with no hesitation while risking her life? she puts up with a lot just to be near Denji and to make him safe.
