The reason why he's objectively unlikable is because his character is a washed up one-trick pony - he's only capable of repeating the exact same empty shallow unfunny tropes and narratives over and over again until everyone has either had enough and drops the manga, like 80% of the Japanese readership did, or starts to detest his guts to the point of paying Lin and Fujimoto to draw scenes like picrel. Every single neuron in his pea-sized, maggot-infested brain is dedicated to the single-minded pursuit of instant gratification, no matter the cost. A toddler has more self-control than this absolute fucking degenerate - he let Nayuta die so he could go fuck whores instead.

The one person in his life who actually depends on him, the only shred of genuine connection he has left, and this miserable, piss-stained excuse for a human tossed her aside like garbage because his pathetic, dog-brained instincts couldn’t handle a dry spell for five minutes. Denji is not a tragic character—he is a failure on every possible level. He has learned nothing, he has NEVER grown, and at this point, calling him a human being is an insult to actual humans like Hirofumi Yoshida.
