And eh, very much disagree, i dont think the martial arts angle is needed at all, nor even that cass particularly is stuck in a gotham "rut", like comparatively she has the most since post horrocks we've never had a solo run of her in gotham, its all been trying to either be in random cities, teams or SHIVA SHIVA SHIVA centric stuff. I think centering the whole book on her as an extension of shiva, for things shiva has actual narrative weight but not her, is a huge mistake, despite the actual characterization being good. Id say there's tons of places cass can go without it, cause its so mined, and has so little actual character meaning for cass (and even as far as dumb cool stuff, it doesnt do much).
