Does anyone here *only* watch video essays of games they've played/finished?
I find it odd to watch someone break down a series I haven't played yet because they'd just ruin the entire thing for me. It's much more interesting to watch something like that when you have experienced the game and know exactly what they're talking about.
In some cases it makes you appreciate the game more. I honestly love checking story breakdowns when I'm done with a game just to see if there was anything I missed or development histories/cut content of games just to see how much work went into them.
I can understand if someone made a video about some jank ass Korean fps that was massive in the 2000s and all the servers are dead so you can't even play it anymore but beyond that it just seems like you're ruining an experience for yourself.
