Honestly M855 out of a 10.3" would likely lose. It's a five pound steel face mask.
The only argument that can be made for it, practically, is that it handles threats with significantly less BFD than other face masks, while also allowing you to use NV unlike transparent ballistic visors.
The $150 chinamasks (pic rel) are backface deformation city and 12 gauge slugs will result in significant BABT. The ballistic visors have quality of life issues and preclude use of NV.
