1. Learn and memorize the 2 kanas

2. Start learning the basic kanjis and how they work, I suggest using Wanikani because it's free in the first few levels.

3. From this point on go FULL on grammar, study kanjis in the side with things like Anki but grammar is much much important

4. After a month, start trying actual raw content, mangas with furigana or VNs using text hooks like Textractor


And just keep at it for a year or two, remember, the biggest japanese noob trap is thinking that you need to know every kanji to know Japanese, people spend years and years doing anki without actually learning anything.

The hardest part of any sentence is writing in hiragana.
