Seclusion, like a beaver in its lodge, made simply out of mud.

Seclusion is a part of the Islamic mystical practice, include retreats for 40 days and 40 nights, the Khalwa.

Seclusion is also the general policy in the practice. There is the physical seclusion in which one's door gradually becomes a gate between the entire world.

Then there is the inner seclusion where the innermost being is sealed away even in a crowd, a spiritual door we close to the outer world to get closer to the Infinite.

Is this not the world? These images on our screens, physically manifested by light and wireless electronics? Can we not see in it the patterns of life?
