I can attest that’s probably right. Last tech company I worked for went through 3 layoffs, they got rid of most of HR, marketing first, mostly women all of them. Specially satisfactorily was to see the people tasked with the DEI program go away. That being said at this point not even that could save the company to my eyes. You can’t even start to imagine the amount of money wasted to keep these people “happy”. Luxurious off sites, fancy offices, etc… plus lots of inefficiencies. I am a completely burnt out engineer that has decided he’s not going to work again in a company that employs women in any capacity. I left like 2 months ago. I’m done pretending they add any value to the workplace. They are nothing but leaches to those that bust their asses building stuff.
