Yeah that's another thing that gets me. They all seem to love the idea of Helman but nobody supplies a reason why. As far as we know it's always been an authoritarian, warmongering shithole that's poorer than its neighbors. The more we learn about the country the worse it is, too. Sure even the Qing emperor or the Tsar had their monarchist supporters, but in those cases the rebels themselves weren't also the supporters... But then the monarchy decides to dissolve itself?

Instead of having their own October Revolution, they get a military coup -> civil war -> imperial restoration -> immediate abdication -> electing the empress as president (...then foreign invasion -> military government under the former revolution leader, I guess that's realistic?)
I guess the explanation is that Sheila's 100/100 face and body inspire so much love and adoration they unite the country regardless.
