Also to OP, Stellar Blade is probably one of the more honest games to come out recently. It made no pretense of being anything else but a simple action game with fanservice and that's exactly what it delivered.
Very flawed game but it's practically a modern neptunia and senran kagura with more budget. Lest you forget when neptunia first came out on steam it was very successful to compared to other games in the genre. I think I remember Neptunia Rebirth 1 beating out other jrpgs like square's final fantasy ports at the time.

Because there's no hook to it. Stellar Blade did well because it was basically a korean mmo character creator where the devs just dumped hundreds of outfits at you that otherwise costs 30 dollars each for 70 dollars total + jiggle physics and flashy combat to boot.
I look at NG4 and I dont see Kasumi, Ayane, Rachel or even DOA favorites like Marie Rose or Honoka as guest characters. Why would I want to play some fruity faggot since Ryu isnt even the main character?
