yeah for me the killer is that more and more, it's other people that are ruining the experience. young kids, people on theirs phones a lot. if I REALLY want to see a movie in theaters now I'll unironically drive over an hour to some rich part of a town on a weekday when school is in session and watch the movie. that is quite honestly the only way I can watch a movie in peace and quiet now. I made the mistake of watching Eddington on a cheap Tuesday night (thinking: who in the hell wants to see Eddington other than A24 dorks and people like me) and people would not shut the fuck up. shame on me. it's over for the cinema fan. stay inside, torrent your movies and call it a day.
