The only bonus I have over other old (middle-aged) men is I don't chase after women who want more and more things from a man. I don't have kids I have to pay for, I don't have to worry about paying alimony for 5 years or however long it lasts. I'm 100% invisible to young women, technically a bad thing but it's kind of nice to never have to deal with a stupid young person ever again. I like to be left alone.

The downside is at middle age you're expected to be this suit-and-tie professional who knows his shit, if you aren't that you're a living joke. You can maybe get a bad job to survive, but everyone that knows you're single is talking about you behind your back. Every coworker thinks you're gay or retarded, some will straight up tell you that.
