Everything important in China is state-run (by the CCP), and not-for-profit.

For example, all the energy companies are state-owned, and their primary goal is to supply as much energy as possible as efficiently (cheaply) as possible.

They allow trivial things to be run capitalist style, but even then they keep their shareholders in check and don't allow them to run society, like they do in the west.
