They already are dealing with India. And Japan and Mongolia and Korea and the Philippines and Vietnam and Thailand and ... Almost the whole world. Even South American countries are tired of them fishing illegally in protected waters.
The military harassment, massive overfishing and damming of all rivers flowing to other countries has won them countless enemies, largely needlessly. They seem to be in a contest with the USA, Europe and Russia for who can kick their own ass the most. Europe is ahead, but don't underestimate China's ability to start wars and get it's ass handed to it. It has done so for 1000's of years. Imagine having a society that is 5000 years old and still being considered a "developing country".
