How much "life energy" someone displays isn't an arbitrary decision. It's formed by living in a societal feedback system which reinforces displays of vitality from some and punish those same displays from others.

You guessed it. Looks, height, wealth and social status. All the things that are supposed to matter less than "life energy."

When Chad spergs out, women let him get away with it because they find him attractive, and men let him get away with it because they don't want to fight him. By the time he's an adult, he's had more practice being charming, funny, assertive, fun-loving and whatever else.
Meanwhile, most men will get eviscerated for their energy once or twice, and learn not to draw any extra attention to themselves.

Energy is not the root of the issue. It's a shorthand for everything else. It's like saying you're attracted to people who aren't fussy about money. You're really just saying you're attracted to the rich.
