The games *are* easy. Every single "uh actually this character is totally hard" cope is easily cheesed by one thing or another. Clay can be beaten easily even with his coverage moves just like Larry can be beaten easily without them.

On the flipside if you come unprepared both can be challenging but only on a first playthrough or if you're intentionally playing risky. But that's the fun of the games honestly.
