a man’s last name was his fathers last name and his father before him and so on for generations. a woman’s last name is just her fathers last name and her mothers last name is just her fathers last name. also, last names were considered legal TITLES as in a record of who all the wealth and land is supposed to go to upon a a man’s death, titles bore legitimacy. she is literally trying to claim ownership over all this man has without even being willing to bare a legitimate title, feminism is a hell of a drug
