>You did not address the paradox of infinite resources and pleasure without needing to work resulting in no incentive to do anything but jack off and do drugs
This isn't a paradox. You just don't know fucking SHIT about the brain.

People think dopamine gives you pleasure, but it barely does. Dopamine motivates an individual, and when the goal is fulfilled endorphins are released, which is what feels really good. Work and effort are the prerequisite to pleasure. Infinite resources don't change a single thing about this and would not preclude individuals from needing to expend effort in some manner to sustain pleasures they seek, because pleasure IS a finite resource and cannot be fuelled by anything other than the attainment of goals through effort.

Cocaine use is extremely prevalent in the banking world, upper management and in among politicians. What's the difference between a successful individual using cocaine to fuel their career, and a cokehead who is doing nothing but chasing his next high?

You might as well shout from the rooftops that you're a newfag, kek.

I literally referenced what is said in the pilot episodes of both The Original Series and The Next Generation, which stands in contrast to OP's claims. What more do you fucking want in terms of arguing about Gene Roddenberry's ideas?
