wasted potential
An underlying premise of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek is this:
>if mankind were able to turn energy into matter, we would become masters of the universe and free from toil
He optimistically assumes that men, if free from work, would pursue noble goals. War would end with want, and humanity would evolve into a unified and enlightened race.
If you look around you today, the people who are free from work are not doing great. They did not become explorers; the unemployed became drug addicts and useless eaters. As technology continues to progress, and less of you retards are needed in wage cages, it seems this trend will snowball.
Your employers hate you. They cannot wait to get rid of you. What are you going to do with yourself when you have nothing but time on your hands?
