Every format feels like it's in shambles now even after they banned like seven cards from Standard back in June (Which didn't do much since they printed up a card that's just as busted as one of the ones they banned but they won't ban it because it's a chase Mythic from the Final Fantasy set).

That's only if you're going deep into Bracket 5/cEDH and need as much fast mana and dual lands as you can fit in the deck. You can easily make a viable commander deck within the $300 range, but it's still $300 for cardboard.
