The "unreliable narrator" nonsense is post-modern lying and dissimulating bullshit designed to make people deranged. The whole book is baiting projection from the reader, but what is written is that she wasn't unwilling and that she had sexual "play" at a summer camp. So she was a dumb whore long before the deranged MC got to her, end of story:
> Through July, every morning--mark, reader, every blessed morning--Barbara and Lo would be helped to carry the boat to Onyx or Eryx (two small lakes in the wood) by Charlie Holmes, the camp mistress' son, aged thirteen--and the only human male for a couple of miles around (excepting an old meek stone-deaf handyman, and a farmer in an old Ford who sometimes sold the campers eggs as farmers will); every morning, oh my reader, the three children would take a short cut through the beautiful innocent forest brimming with all the emblems of youth, dew, birdsongs, and at one point, among the luxuriant undergrowth, Lo would be left as sentinel, while Barbara and the boy copulated behind a bush. At first, Lo had refused "to try what it was like," but curiosity and camaraderie prevailed, and soon she and Barbara were doing it by turns with the silent, coarse and surly but indefatigable Charlie, who had as much sex appeal as a raw carrot but sported a fascinating collection of contraceptives which he used to fish out of a third nearby lake
Nowadays even this thread is a far better description of pedophilia and ephebophilia (aka being normal) than the book. Pedos are mentally ill, simple as. But some lolicons and normal guys get so disgusted and instinctively sickened by roastie women they become obsessed with imaginary young virgins. To a man's instinct, women will always be sexual objects. And non-virgin sexual objects are disgusting. They're cigarette butts you pick off the street to get a desperate puff out of when you're addicted to smoking and can't get a new pack. Just stop feminism and these dumb debates end.
