Japan used to sell these to China at extremely ripoff prices.
What then happened was Japan increasingly raised their prices and rubbing their hands like jews.
Eventually USA order them to ban trainwheel export to China.
Japan complied, thinking this will cripple the Chinese HSR infrastructure.

But in the end China managed to make their owl wheels for HSR rated at 600 km/h.
And much cheaper than Japan.
So the Jap monopoly got broken, and Japan lost this revenue forever.

Here an example: Germany & Japan thought they were hot shit and that their super secre HSR train wheel steel alloy could never be replicated.
So when Daddy Murrica told them to sanction China, they litterally forbid sales of HSR train wheel to cihna. Thinking this would crush Chinesse train production.

Turns out it was a matter of monts, China came up with their own steel mystery mix that was even better performing, and cheaper.
So the only thing that happened was Germny and Japan losing yet another monoply / source of rip off revenue.
