Recently moved to Quebec to be closer to family, stuck in my anglo bubble. I speak some french but it's stalled now that I can handle basic conversation. I'm pretty normal by 4chan standards, so if you're in montreal and want to hang out I'm down for that too.

I want to learn Hindi which is pretty much Urdu. I have learned German up to about where you are. Not "just now finished some curriculum" A2, but more like, been plateaued there for a while which is different. So I feel more comfortable with it, patterns solidified. Would be interesting to see if we could benefit. Die Fälle are really the only obstacle for me, otherwise I know enough vocabulary and grammar to get, by even though I don't make sense sometimes; I can talk my way to making the other person understand. Biggest weakness is listening to anything longer than a few sentences. The best thing about talking with non-natives though, or others of the same level, is there is way less pressure.

It's really important that we're in similar timezones.It's really difficult to talk to people online otherwise when one is going to bed and the other is in the middle of the day. Or it's important at least that we can arrange (weekly learning) appointments that are convenient for us both.

I'm also more available now than normal because it's vacation. We'll have to see what happens once Uni is back in session.
