Only competitions with English names are relevant (Olympics, World Cup, Euros, World Series, Superbowl, Six Nations, The Ashes, etc). If your competition is named in another language then it's provincial at best and automatically inferior to all English named ones in that sport.

The only languages which can apply for an exception are French and Japanese.
