Post your nation's best starting XI for the WC
- Bring on Palmer and Watkins (or Delap if he comes good) as supersubs after 60 min
- Not convinced by Gordon yet, think that place is still up for grabs but works well with Kane
- Feel like Branthwaite has a role in backline due to aerial ability but remains to be seen

Other than those caveats I think this is the best we've got.

this is the 11 i would field
Now that Joan will start for Barcelona is only a matter of time he replaces Unai
I have yet to see Carrera play for Madrid to decide if he's better than Cucurella and/or Balde
Huijsen is a must and who ever has a better season between Asencio and Cubarsi should be his partiner
Pubil is my personal bet after the Porro/Mingueza fiascos, this will be his breakthrough season if a big team signs him otherwise we're gonna have to pray Carvajal comes back with the same level
The bald fraud should stop with the Pedri CAM and Oyarzabal as 9 gimmicks and put him behind the best Spanish goalscorer Sancet as false 9 kinda, he can also do something Oyarzabal can't which is score headers
The rest is pretty obvious, maybe Fermin or Isco instead of Olmo depending on their season

Cancelo is still an elite wingback. Ramos was good playing next to Nunez in 21/22, even better with Rafa right behind him in 22/23 and the NT is at its most dangerous every time he plays alongside Jota or Ronaldo

Tbh the most important thing for me is just have a CF. Our best goalscorers are all wingers and they can not play CF (Ronaldo is particularly awful with his back to goal but the rest aren't much better), even André Silva would do

I genuinely think allowing Bruno Fernandes and Nuno Mendes to roam into the area provides all the goalscoring threat we need alongside Ronaldo to take the space/score any rebounds/tap-ins.
we just need to make use of our midfield. it's imperative to have João Neves and Vitinha playing together, and I'd prefer to have a physical 6 who can drop into back 4 like Palhinha or Neves to give our fullbacks more attacking freedom.

No, I actually watched the games. He does nothing. Zero effective pressing. Zero defensive tasks. Sometimes he comes back to the midfield to do a few "flashy" touches as if he was still the winger from United, and then either passes it back or loses it.
But he scored 2 tap-ins after Nuno Mendes did everything so he has another 10 years on NT starting XI in him.
