I don't know how since the match ended that has been an argument. I never heard that a team had an advantage because the referee was from the same continent as one team. Never heard of it being a problem before that or after. You wanted an Arab or an African negrito? Really? If that would be the case everyone would be crying that it was a referee from a non footballing nation that doesn't know the rules or isn't used at the speed of a football game of a higher level. And a referee from the same continent happens all the time, just last WC final it was a Pole (Euro) referee in an Argentina (America) vs France (Euro) match. Take a wild guess who won.
