This is sort of a guess, but I think Pog's saddle tilt plays a major part in his ability to stay seated on 20% like sections, and to some extent gives the illusion of "he didn't even have to get out of the saddle" (don't get me wrong, he's still putting enormous power that others can't match). There's a lot of photos of his bike showing the extreme saddle nose down in races with steep sections like this, and there's also a lot of photos of other riders NOT having that aggressive of a tilt.

From a biomechanical perspective, it'd make sense that he can just roll his hips and put down all that power while staying seated, which is more likely to be efficient than standing and stomping.

I used to be this way but as I get older (not that old but turning 30), I have somehow become much less tolerant of heat. Staying hydrated is a bit of struggle and have come to fear the heat, compared to my youth and early 20s I always seemed do better than competitors in the high heat.
