The truth is all the money is invested in Western Europe teams, including by Yanks and Arabs, because that's where the best investment is, because that's the concentrated area into soccer. Having so many top-heaviness in the sport in Western Europe shows that's the epicenter of interest and it fizzles out entirely past there, outside Latin America who isn't as good of a market. No different for what countries have the best baseball or basketball or cricket clubs or so on.

These teams play in a closed league that will go on in perpetuity and thus there's almost no risk on the franchise aside from the economic collapse of a city.
