What prevents players from latin america who got poached by european teams from intentionally playing bad so that clubs from their home nation / continent do better?

/sp/ has proven this is clearly a case of sports nationalism on par with the world cup for latin americans.

and the players in europe have already stamped their meal ticket so they have little to lose (whereas the ones still playing in the COMMIEBOWL league are trying their hardest to get poached)

The reality is that Europeans will never stop being butthurt about America, both North and South. Why? Because it's North America's fault they're being overridden with Muzzies. The age of Europe actually accomplishing things on a global scale is over. Their continent exists only reverse colonization. South Americans get flak because Europeans see their future--in less than 20 years, all of Europe will be a Brazil.

Doubtful. Europeans are a conquered, pacified people (ESPECIALLY Germans thanks to Israel) who aren't allowed to stand up for themselves when their invaders get frisky.
