The sport benefits from having a tournament where any team can qualify for and prove they're the best in the world. Allowing the UEFA narrative of "UCL Winer = Best team in the world" to go unchallenged is damaging for everyone except oil barons.

This tournament needs to be successful for the sake of the soul of football - and so far, it has been. The fact UEFA's supremacy is crumbling is just the cherry on top.
