If you consider this thesis then every european intercontinental win over a sudaca team in history becomes invalid. December is the end of our season, and we play a lot more matches and travel way more. Not only that but it makes every european intercontinental defeat an absolute humiliation.
Absolutely pathetic excuse, you might as well just change the tournament's name to "Club World Cope" at this point.

I accept your concession that playing in a tournament after a full season has a big affect on performance, but being a team in a shithole country that can't keep hold of its best players is simply a national skill issue brother.

Well, yeah. However, Euros full season is 50 matches, we are already at 38 in 6th months. Plus they are better on paper, so it should level the playing field, unlike the opposite lmao Idk where the fuck you are trying to get here

Botafogo has played more games since August 2024 than PSG btw. Cope retard. Europe is a fraud, and the reason you hate this tournament so much is because it's exposing you for what you really are.

No one is contesting European teams are debuffed by post-season exhaustion.

The point is that the previous format put that burden on South American teams. This one puts it on Europeans - who have the economic means to mitigate it. If they didn't, that's just a skill issue on their part.

It's fucking easy to beat up on poor AND exhausted teams, then rooster around claiming to be the best in the world. Now y'all are being made to step up and be men and fight through the exhaustion, and you're crumpling.

This is something Depay noted when he made his way down here btw - that the Brazillian league is in another level of physicality, and breeds stronger players (as in, physically tougher) as a result.

Hard disagree. I would agree with you if Brazilian players coming here would run circles around everyone for the full 90 minutes, but more often than not what we see is the opposite: barring a couple exceptions (I still remember Hulk standing out when he came to play here for how much physically stronger he was), most don't last a full match for the first few months, and only after they adapt to our play style then they start to go toe-to-toe physically. And unless Palmeiras is the exception to the rule in Brasileirão, I can see why: when we played last Sunday I was surprised at how little pressing Palmeiras put on us, especially in the midfield, I guarantee you I'm not used to seeing the current low form Porto run up the opposing half of the field as often as I did there, more often than not teams that know how we play and how to punish us for it don't let us even cross the center line with how much pressing they put on us. I remember more than once stats from the first 45 minutes of our league games where we didn't make a single shot at the goal.

Why? Cos unlike continentals we have a proper league that knackers players.
The end of season break will benefit Chelsea and city
