I can't help but be dumbfounded at people like Turki and other casual boxing fans complaining about "runners" like Haney and such in the sport and not more concerned about the fact that they're are so few effective pressure fighters left in the sport today and how they all seem to be terrible at actually cutting off the ring.
Mexico for example used to produce dozens of very front foot fighters who could actually box as well as brawl (Chavez, Barrera, etc) but now they've all devolved in concrete footed plodders who rely on either their power or the judges to bail them out, with the exception of bam.
Canelo vs. Scull is probably the absolute worst example of this today, yes Scull fought very boring, but how in God's name is he, a relatively unknown fighter prior to that fight, receiving more criticism than the supposed p4p ATG in Canelo who can't fucking cut off the ring effectively at all?
All of these "runners" wouldn't fucking exist in the first place if there were actually people in the sport who were good enough to fuck with their rhythm and cut them off. have trainers just become retarded or have fighters become worse at taking instructions is the real question

Crawford to win by decision is going at 11/5 odds, if I were to bet on the fight I'd go with that as the main bet with Canelo by decision as my hedge play (currently going at even money). I don't think that either guy is gonna win by KO, Crawfords jumping up 2 weight classes and Canelo hasn't won by KO in years despite facing poor opposition for a while now. Regardless to whether he wins or not it would be ridiculous to have money on him by decision since that's the only way he could win.
Betting aside, I personally think that he's gonna win because people don't realise how badly Canelos declined, I thought the Scull fight would've made people realise but I guess not. People bring up the fact that Crawford struggled at Super Welter but really that had nothing to do with the weight jump, it was because of how tricky Madrimov was for him to find. I don't think Canelo is clever enough in the same way Madrimov is to do the same thing to Crawford.
