>>149353997In Brazil, anyone can beat anyone in a match, it's currently the most competitive league in the world, no joke. It's the only place where you can win it all in one year and fight against relegation in the next. The problem is, as it is in every league, money. Flamengo is basically the Real Madrid of South America, has most money, best sponsorship deals, biggest fanbase, sells more tickets and merchandise, most favorable TV deals and etc. Palmeiras got a shitload of money in recent years coming from the new stadium, selling young players for massive ammounts and a pretty good patronage from a bank. You can expect them to dominate our tournaments in the next decade, together with maybe Botafogo, Bahia and RB Bragantino.
Yet, with a shitty squad + suarez + the power friendship, Grêmio almost robbed the title from Palmeiras in 2023, losing by a single point. But at this point I wouldn't not bet on Grêmio on winning shit, they are really in a bad spot economically right now and it will take a couple years for them to rebuild.
