Did you ignore all the argentine players playing in non-argentine teams?

I'm very specifically talking about argie clubs, not the players. It's very noticeable that they're a step below the Brazilian clubs

Boca and River aren't even in the top three of the current best Argentine teams. They only made it there because they're the most popular.

So funny how the Brazilian NT sucks but Brazilian clubs are dominating internationally, while Argentinian clubs are in terrible form but the NT is the best in the world

Honestly speaking nobody here rates our league. It's so completely bonkers that there are several Youtube essays showcasing how dogshit and weirdly organized it is.
Both Boca and River are earning several times more money from getting grouped in the CWC than from winning the league. We have 30 teams split into two mini leagues, no relegation and corruption like you wouldn't imagine to keep several teams owned by the higher ups in AFA in respectable spots.
Boca didn't even qualify to the Libertadores.

That happens when you get 30 teams and only one or two get relegated, not to mention that they cancelled relegations at least one these last couple of years.
The only thing Tapia did that is liked here is appointing Scaloni, once Scaloni gets the boot or the plot we are going down to Chile/Mexico tier

argentina is way more refball than brazil bro... its always been like that lmao

Brazilian teams straight up rejected playing some libertadores in the past due to CONMEBOL rigging to argies/uruguayans

If Boca and River aren't even among the best teams from Argentina right now what the hell was FIFA's criteria for picking the teams? It was a huge missed opportunity to have teams that can actually have a shot at winning the tournament
Anonymous Australia No.149369998 [Report]
>>149369965

they were kinda reffed to be there because they're the most popular and well known overseas

brazil's club league was always strong and never gave a fuck for internationalizing itself for the longest time (up until the bosman rule change)
Anonymous Mexico No.149370488 [Report]
Boquita is fucked because the germans will matchfix but River is most likely fine, Monterrey will choke and won't be able to beat the Jap team.

>We have 30 teams split into two mini leagues
That works here, in the US, where we literally HAVE TO DO THAT due to our sheer geography. You guys doing that is wild.

>no relegation
I mean after River got relegated after three (3) consecutive seasons of being garbage at that time they don't want that to happen.

>Boca didn't even qualify to the Libertadores.
Based.

By what
Anonymous Argentina No.149380099 [Report] >>149380429 >>149380510
we just sell our best players abroad all the time, almost every team has one of our frauds playing for them. This lowers the quality of the league substantially, but enhances the quality of our NT.
Kinda the inverse of mexico

Bro Argentina has half the population density of the US, they have a similar geography problem to the US.
>>149380099
I figured it was more of a money thing, for a while the “richest” league in the western hemisphere was Liga MX (up until 2010s I guess). Now Liga MX, MLS, and Serie A bring more money than el primado división. And while domestic talent can make up for some of the budget gap, any good player will get insta poached.
