Posters added context: the Brazilian league hosts twenty teams in its first tier whilst the Portuguese league only has eighteen. The Brazilian city of Sao Paulo (Saint Paul) alone has more inhabitants than all of Portugal.

Currency is irrelevant insofar as both Brazilian and Portuguese clubs ultimately aim to trick Big 5 Leagues teams (especially the PL) into buying their overhyped youngsters. It's not like Brazilian teams are carrying blockbuster transfers amongst them.

Schengen is also irrelevant considering the high level of corruption going on in Portugal and Spain as regards the ease with which Brazilian players get a second nationality and thus Schengen and EU passport access.

The only difference maker is the access to CL soccer, which is a bit dilluted since only three Portuguese teams regularly get access to it (and with noticeable slumps). 80% of the Portuguese league teams might as well be part of the Belarussian league as far as top level UEFA club competition is involved. This does not happen with Brasileirao clubs at the Liberators' Cup even if the latter is a beer league competition when compared to the CL.

How is currnecy not relevant? One packed stadium there is what?
One packed benfica stadium, considering 100 euro ticket price, will give them 6464200 euros
One packed Morumbi (similar capacity) will give SPFC 1077366.6 euros, six times less.
Obviously they have an advantage of having the Euro.

Ticketing is not the main source of revenue, tv rights are.

Second, the chart is comparing the value of all the players in the league, probably an estimate from Transfermarkt, that makes quotations in euros
