When he was out there allowed to play like a starter he thrived, and with Green and Brooks gone he will actually get minutes. Reed and Pritchard don't have much of the same skill set outside of being good shooters. Pritchard can't run an offense, isn't a good driver off the basket, doesn't have a midrange game and isn't a good defender. If you watched Reed at Kentucky or in his NBA minutes you'd see he's an elite shooter everywhere, especially on pull up midrange. I already cited him taking All-stars off the dribble for midrange jumpers and he's 19 years old. Reed has better balance and vision on both ends of the court than pritchard. Reed is stronger. Your arguement that he went #3 overall because of the UK Guard reputation is also unfounded when guys like Booker, Monk, Herro, Shai, Wallace Maxey, Eric Bledsoe, James Young went either late lottery or mid/late 1st round, but then a UK guard like John Wall went #1 overall, Aaron Fox #5, and plenty of UK Guards have gone 2nd round or udrafted. This suggests UK Guards are drafted based on evaluation, and some are hit and miss based on the place they went. But it does not suggest a player who went to UK will automatically receive a high draft pick just because they were a guard at UK.
