Why is the Argentinian league so dogshit?
Brazil is doing some heavy lifting to not embarass the continent.

Their clubs are poor as fuck, back in the early 2000s an argie that KWABed in Europe but that was good enough for Libertadores would go back to argentina, like Riquelme. Nowadays they prefer to play in Brazil or even nonsense leagues like Switzerland or Korea where they are gettind paid better cash

There are tons of Brasilians in Europe too, but your league is still decent. Argentina's league is complete dogshit.

River is probably the richest team there, but lets take an example, an argentinian player can easily accept an offer from Fortaleza when hes playing for San Lorenzo. Not saying Fortaleza will necessarily beat San Lorenzo in a game just that they can take the player out from a big team in Argentina, while being a regional club in Brazil, and this was unthinkable 20 years ago.

I am not saying Argentinians are shit, I am saying their league is shit. I don't follow SudA football, but I am sure Brazil is dominating the libertadores just from the CwC observation with the Argentinian jobber clubs.

20 years ago they bought all the best players in South America and managed to keep some of them. Today it's Brazil that does it.
The best Argentinians, Colombians, Ecuadorians and so on who aren't in Europe end up staying in Brazil today. Because of the economic health of the clubs.

Milei will fix it. Currency appretiation is making it so clubs can start making more competitive wage offers to be able to keep some players that would have immediately left in the past

When Chiqui MAFIA is beheaded, and the league can get a proper format, prize money gets increased, the league gets marketed better to the rest of the continent, etc. etc. we will have a renaissance

>I don't follow SudA football

It doesn't even pass in your cable tv. Not even in pay-to-watch channels. The Brasileirão Série A is unavailable in North America and Europe, you can't even watch it, in the tv.
