They don't care. Argentinian clubs don't care about international competitions in general. The Clausura is far more important than the Libertadores.

At the end of the day it all comes down to Brazil having more money than us.

All our best players leave, and we can't buy shit.
All their best players stay, and they can buy stars, often from here.

this is all part of the plan

just how milei won after peronists went full retarded and crashed leaving with a 1% daily inflation rate, football fans will eventually get tired of getting kwabed over and over and demand a serious league format and allow teams to be bought.

With your shitty economy this will be the nail in the coffin. Your teams will serve only to export players to Europe at the cheapest prices. They may even belong to the same owners as European clubs so they pick first and pay nothing at all.

They would if Argentina helped themselves by leaving the US empire. Thats what it would take. Look at what America did to Grenada and Cuba.

Argentina is actually on the way to recovery, I'm really jealous that they are seemingly on an upward trajectory while we are stuck with at a least 5 more years of socialism, if not 30.

it's actually not an economy problem this time
in our country it's literally illegal for clubs to NOT be non-profit orgs that are fan/socio-owned if they want to affiliate to AFA, so their money is severely limited by that
i guess it sorta is an economy problem still though, if the country was richer the clubs would in turn be able to ask more for membership and get richer themselves, but still, if SADs were allowed some american or asian billionaire could buy out some shitter club like gimnasia and make them top a contender
at the same time, fans owning clubs is soul and SADs are fucking gay and the current system makes the local league way more engaging, so i don't know what'd be the better approach
maybe doing something similar to what the bundesliga does but they are a gay 1-club league so i'm not sure taking notes from them is a good idea

yeah i know that's also a big issue, if a good club is sold like that whoever bought it could be a gigaretard and run it into the ground like what happened to valencia (or was it sevilla? idk, one of these 2)
